DIOCESAN SECRETARY ATTENDED A RECEPTION ON THE OCCASION OF RUSSIA DAY

On Wednesday, June 11, an official reception was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Paris in honor of Russia Day, the country’s main national holiday.
At the invitation of H.E. Alexey Meshkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to France, the event was attended by prominent French public figures, Russian citizens living in France, and representatives of the Russian émigré community.
To mark the occasion, the Embassy hosted an exhibition by the Russian Geographical Society titled “Picturesque Russia”, featuring the best photographs by winners and finalists of the national “Crystal Compass” award. Guests were able to witness firsthand the stunning natural beauty of Russia — from majestic mountains and endless forests to the harsh Arctic expanses and picturesque coastlines, according to the official website of the Russian diplomatic mission.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Nestor, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, the Korsun Diocese was represented at the celebration by Fr. Maksim Politov, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration.
