THE CATHEDRAL HONORED THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO DIED IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

On May 9, 2025 – the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The dean and clergy of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris served a memorial lity for all those who reposed and labored for the sake of the Victory, as well as a thanksgiving moleben to the Lord God for granting triumph in the Great Patriotic War.

During the service, special prayers were offered for “leaders and soldiers who laid down their lives on the battlefield, those who died from wounds and hunger, and those who were innocently tortured and killed in captivity and forced labor.” At the end of the service, Eternal Memory was solemnly proclaimed in their honor.

Afterwards, Priest Maxim addressed the faithful gathered in the church with words of a homily.

On the eve of the feast, a large festive concert was held in the amphitheater of the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
