THE SEVENTH CHILDREN’S EASTER FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE IN PARIS

With the blessing of the Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe, on April 26, Bright Saturday, the seventh annual Children’s Easter Festival was held at the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Orthodox Center in Paris.

Before the Festival, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Trinity Cathedral with the active participation of children, led by Priest Maxim Politov, spiritual father of the Sunday school at the Trinity Cathedral, assisted by the clergy of the cathedral: Hieromonk John (Guaita), Priest Anthony Sidenko, and Protodeacon Nikolai Rebinder.

On this day, students of the Russian Classical Gymnasium, the Sunday school at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, as well as families with children and teenagers were invited to the church to participate in the Divine Liturgy.

The liturgical chants were performed by the Holy Trinity Cathedral Choir under the direction of Laurencia Onica and the children’s choir of the Sunday school at the Holy Trinity Cathedral under the direction of Liya Makarova.

After the festive Easter Liturgy and the procession, the participants and guests of the festival shared an Easter meal.

After the meal, various master classes were organized on decorating Easter eggs and gingerbread, making crafts and decorations on the Easter theme.

Then a festive Easter concert was held in the amphitheater of the Center.
