A CLERIC OF THE CATHEDRAL CELEBRATED THE DIVINE LITURGY IN CORSICA

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the feast day of the Holy Glorious and All-Praised Apostles Peter and Paul, with the blessing of Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in Ajaccio, the administrative capital of the island of Corsica.
The service was led by Fr. Antoniy Sidenko, cleric of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris.
The Liturgy was celebrated in the local Roman Catholic parish church dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua and gathered more than 40 Orthodox residents of the island, many of whom received Holy Communion for the first time in many years.
The Lord’s Prayer “Our Father” was sung during the service in Church Slavonic, French, and Corsican.
After the Liturgy, a festive meal was held in the church courtyard, attended also by clergy of the local Catholic community.
