ON THE FEAST OF THE PROCESSION OF THE HONORABLE WOOD OF THE CROSS OF THE LORD, METROPOLITAN NESTOR CELEBRATED THE DIVINE LITURGY IN THE CATHEDRAL

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the Feast of the Procession of the Honorable Wood of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, the Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris.

The metropolitan was concelebrated by Hieromonk Joseph (Pavlinchuk); the clergy of the cathedral: Hieromonk John (Guaita), Priest Daniil Naberezhny, Priest Antoniy Sidenko, Deacon Roman Onika, Deacon Viacheslav Li, and Deacon Alexey Vedyashkin, a cleric of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Equal-to-the-Apostles, in Madrid.

The service was conducted in Church Slavonic and French.

The homily before the Communion of the faithful was delivered by Hieromonk John.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarchal Exarch and the concelebrating clergy performed the rite of glorification of the Holy Cross of the Lord. Afterwards, in keeping with church tradition, the blessing of the new harvest honey took place.
