TRINITY PARENTAL SATURDAY

June 7, 2025 — Trinity Parental Saturday. On the eve of the Feast of Pentecost, the Holy Church offers universal commemoration of all Orthodox Christians who have departed this life in faith and in the hope of the resurrection and life eternal.
On this day, in the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity in Paris, the clergy and faithful offered fervent prayers for the repose of their departed loved ones during the memorial Divine Liturgy and panikhida, imploring the Lord — who has conquered the devil and granted life to the world — to grant them salvation and eternal rest.
The services were led by Priest Maksim Politov, Secretary of the Korsun Diocesan Administration, concelebrated by the cathedral clergy:
Protopriest Igor Trofim,
Priest Georgy Sheshko,
Hieromonk Irenei (Gribov), Rector of the Spiritual-Educational Center in honor of St. Geneviève of Paris,
Priest Antoniy Sidenko,
and Deacon Philip Markov.
The homily before Holy Communion was delivered by Hieromonk Irenei (Gribov).
At the conclusion of the panikhida, Fr. Maksim also addressed the faithful with a word of reflection and warmly congratulated Protopriest Igor on the occasion of his 45th birthday. On behalf of the clergy and parishioners, he presented him with a jeweled pectoral cross. A traditional “Many Years” (Mnogaya Leta) was then proclaimed in honor of the celebrant.
