The Holy Trinity Cathedral
The Holy Trinity Cathedral is the main church of the Korsun Diocese and the Western European Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate).
The rector of the cathedral is Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe.
The Cathedral Key Lord (senior priest responsible for divine services and the economic part of the cathedral) is Priest Maxim Politov, secretary of the Korsun Diocesan Administration. In total, seven priests and four deacons serve in the Cathedral.
Since its consecration in December 2016 by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, the Holy Trinity Cathedral has become one of the favorite places of Christian prayer for Parisians. The parish community is actively developing at the church.
Services are held in Church Slavonic, French and Moldavian. Along with the daily services, the clergy of the Cathedral perform baptisms, weddings, prayers, and funeral services; during the opening hours of the Cathedral, they also hear confessions. You can talk to the priests in Russian, Moldavian, French, English, Italian, and Modern Greek.
The Cathedral Choir sings during the services under the direction of the chief choirmaster Marina Aleksandrovna Politova.
The Trinity Cathedral was designed by the architectural bureau of Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Built according to the traditional principles of Christian architecture, the temple combines features of the Russian and Byzantine styles, as well as modern features that fit it into the Parisian cityscape.
The prehistory of the Cathedral is described in two books: a brochure compiled by priest Georgy Sheshko, and a book by Ksenia Igorevna Krivosheina, published in Russian and French (see the “Church Shop” section).
The Cathedral is located on the territory of the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Orthodox Center.
